Wow!!!!!!! We honestly don’t know how else to say how unbelievable the photos are!!!! They are absolutely incredible we literally can’t thank you enough, they are just PERFECT!!
I loved Nicola & Gareth’s wedding. It was an uncomplicated & relaxed day for close friends & family. A simple church ceremony followed by a reception held at a favourite pub, The Chequers Inn – not far from a hill overlooking the beautiful Vale of Belvoir where Gareth proposed to Nicola.
When Nicola got in touch she used words like natural, informal, chilled, relaxed – to describe the vibe of the day, and I immediately knew these were our kind of people!
Having a chilled out day at the pub, you could be forgiven for going a little light on the details. But this was an impeccably styled & elegant day. Nicola runs Rose Press, a gorgeous design & letterpress studio based in Notts. She designed the stationary herself (of course!) – which you must check out in the photos below – but also assembled a team of ace local suppliers to help achieve her & Gareth’s vision for the day. We’re talking: Kula Tsurdiu dress made from gorgeous Nottingham lace, dual Peach & Prosecco (!!) and Red Velvet cakes from Nat @ Yummy Little Cakes, and insanely good floristry from Michele Gledhill. Style really mattered to these two.
Their colour theme ran through the day, tying all the visual strands together – stationary, bridesmaids dresses, the explosion of coloured confetti, flowers, cake, Gareth’s bowtie, EVERYTHING! It wasn’t contrived or incidental, and it wasn’t just a colour theme for the wedding. These colours were theirs – I saw them displayed throughout their home as soon as I stepped inside the door in the morning.
One of my favourite parts of the day was heading out with Nicola & Gareth’s squad for some late evening photos in the field. Afterwards, the three of us hung out together for some portraits and then Nicola & Gareth hopped a fence and climbed the hill where Gareth proposed.
Now it’s time for you to check out the photos from their amazing day. Go!
Shout out to Lara Elliott for being my buddy, dancefloor lighting model & car companion for the day. You can check out her lovely work on Nicola & Gareth’s wedding film here.
