Oh my god!!! Thanks so much for the amazing pictures – brought back some great memories from the day! 🙂 They are all perfect!
Some weddings leave lasting impressions. I will remember the Spanish band that played during the cocktail hour at Claire & Russ’ Relaxed London Wedding at the Horniman Museum & The Lordship Pub and how they cast such a spell over everyone that there was dancing before the dancing. Like the heaving, energetic, ev’ryone on the dancefloor, can’t stop won’t stop kind of dancing. All very un-British like I know. But it happened (and we can prove it!) and it was wonderful.
Knowing these guys, that shouldn’t have come as a surprise. Russ is a producer, remixer & DJ (he had a UK #40 hit!), so understandably music played a huge and important part of their day. There was the jazz band that played at their lovely & airy ceremony venue, the Horniman Conservatory, that black magic Spanish band at their East Dulwich reception venue, The Lordship Pub and then Russ himself ’n’ friends on the decks in the evening.
Claire described their wedding as a “quite chilled our Scandi affair” – which was totally on the money. The light-filled venues, minimalist styling, table greenery, and vibrant splashes of colour on the cool April day: Claire’s red lipstick & yellow leather jacket, Russ’ vivid blazer, the blue MG ‘wedding’ car & red London bush for guests. Fresh, green, clean, minimalist perfection. There was even thought given to typography, which made my heart happy.
I could do this all over again.
